About us

Creel Club is a small studio in the United States. We draw fishing tees for people who keep going back to the water — and mostly come home with nothing.

Why we started

A creel is the old wicker basket you carried your catch home in. Most days it came back empty, and you went again the next weekend anyway. That is the whole idea. The shirts are for the early alarm, the knot you tie badly, the one that got off at the boat, and the afternoon you would not trade for anything.

What you are buying

Every design is drawn for us. No clip art, no purchased templates, no stock illustration packs. If you find one of our designs on ten other shops, something has gone very wrong and we would like to hear about it.

We print on Comfort Colors 1717 — heavyweight, garment-dyed, ring-spun cotton. It is the blank that softens with every wash instead of going flat and scratchy. Nothing sits in a warehouse: your shirt is printed after you order it, one at a time, in the US.

How we use AI

We are open about this. Our artwork is created in-house with the assistance of AI image tools, then corrected, redrawn and finished by hand. Every design goes through a human before it goes on cotton — we check the drawing, the lettering and the print file by eye, and reject what does not hold up.

If something goes wrong

Email hello@creelclub.com. A person reads it. If the shirt arrived wrong, damaged or not as described, we remake it or refund it — you do not need to send photographs of a receipt or argue your case.
